Snug
2007-8
Stones have a language I can only recieve if  I'm silent.

When I place these stones on the wall, I write in an indecipherable script, one that seems to be part  Braille,  code or  musical notes .
This piece is a celebration.
It's about appreciating this small arbutus tree.
101 small brass bells were placed all over the tree,
ringing quietly when the wind blows.
2009
Hundreds of handmade nesting bowls, made to catch water, reflecting the sea and sky.

"Snug" is a shelter. It's made from twigs collected within walking distance of my studio.
A winter wren, a squirrel, a garter snake or wild bees could use it.
